I realized that I hadn't used the AABB format for poetry very often, so I decided to give it a shot...hope you like it =D
Someday I'll tell you that
You are my long lost Jack,
My rose within the weeds,
My jewel within the beads.
One day I'll be your Rose,
The dove out of the crows,
Your rain after the drought,
Your faith above the doubt.
That day I'll lose my fear,
Won't shed a single tear,
Won't cry after you leave
Because I will beleive.
If this is not to come,
I will refuse to numb.
I'm sure the heart goes on,
And heals before too long.
No need for sad goodbyes.
No need for tear-dimmed eyes.
No feelings to regret,
Or futures must we fret.
My time will come to see
Why you aren't with me.
But I'll stay happy still.
This emptiness will fill.
